Just received an email in my inbox that created a sense of excitement that I havent felt in a couple of months.

Question is: Where do you draw the line between your individual aspirations and path and your professional obligations?

Not being quite sure about the answer here I am thinking about the best way to show to my manager that attending a conference in Oman, during one of the most busy times of my professional calendar is obviously relevant. And that, of course, it would "look nice" if the company would actually pay for my accommodation and travel expenses.
