My own urban rituals!

Urban rituals - aka as things I do out of habit, always in the same way.. call it whatever you want

1. Coke: Always ask for "Lots of lemon, no ice". Same with 7Up.

2. Lisbon-Madrid Travel: Enter the plane, grab a pillow, sleep! Wake up, leave the plane.

3. Madrid-Lisbon Travel: say "damn wind" when lifting; looking at the tv screen and thinking "what, same stupid video? please think about the frequent flyers! I would almost rather have ads!"; waiting for the food package, opening it, thinking "same stupid sandwich" and not eating it. BUT, always having the small muffin, with a even greater satisfation if it is the almond one. Wait for tea hostess and ask for it with a slice of lemon. She always stops for a while and probably thinks (Did I hear it correctly? Did she asked for lemon in her tea? Didnt she mean lemon with her coke) - Yes, in Portugal is not common to have lemon with your tea, only lemon tea. DUH!

4. Time: Always feel happy when looking at my computer clock, which is set with Lisbon's time. Meaning that when I am in Madrid is already one hour later, meaning almost leaving office

5. Checking nomadlife.org repetedly during the day. Damn vice.

6. Everyone else drinking coffee, me asking for "carioca de limão", that is, lemon tea, done with lemon not lemon tea bag.

7. Seting my alarm clock for a specific time and always waking up 30 min later. Worse, seting up the alarm clock to half an hour before, because I already know myself.

8. Looking at time:12:12; 09:09; 22;22 , (you probably got it by now) - always making a wish.

9. I am now thinking about more urban rituals that I can think of.. But stupid as it might seem TIME and LEMON seems to be the recurring words. Too weird.. I think I will stop now.

Hi Ana!

I remember you! Been following your blog too! I am addicted to them, even now on Friday afternoon at work, I am jumping from Blog to Blog!

I will definitely be heading to Portugal in the summer, will have to catch up for a coke, no lemon in mine thanks!

And should you get over this side of the continent, be sure and look me up!

Bis
Brett
